we all know the story,a man heartlessly killed 99 people but decided to repent, asked one scholar and asked him if he will ever be forgiven, the scholar said no and the killer mercilessly killed him too
then another scholar told him "Of course you will be pardoned; repent at once. I have just one piece of advice for you: avoid the company of wicked people and mix with good people, for bad company leads one into sin:"
The killer then repented sicerely and even wiped, then when living the city to go to another city with rightous people he died,he was close to the new city so he was forgiven and went to heaven

i really been curious about this hadith i@Subeeer @Canuck @Fang4 @MEREUM @MetalGearGaladi @Incognito @Maslax @Von and anyone i havent tagged just jump in(wish arooska was here)
here is the issues i have with this hadith
1.)is it authentic?this adith was narrated by Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri,when the prophet s.a.w was active he was too young, why would he narrate a hadith to him?
2.) the guy was clearly a psychopath serial killer, from the hadith most people he killed i assume was out of anger or something because it says no where he was in a war,how would you feel if a person mercilessly and coldly killed your parents or relatives because of his own sickness,so how can a guy like this be forgiven, isnt there another hadith that says human life is worth a country what about 100?
3.)is there such thing as a rightous city?!!how did he know the city he was going to had no sinners, seems like a fairy tail,or was it not about the city but how strong his niyah was to repent maybe the city was far and a dangerous road to walk there,so did the second scholar trick him, lie to him, just so he would prove how ready he was to repent?
4.) if a serial killer can be forgive what the point of not sinning?this quotes is used on ciyaal suug filth,ex-cons,thots e.t.c why do this people get a pass?they lie to themselves "one day we will repent but not today"so sinning is nothing as long as you repent? an ex-con or a ex-prostitute i can understand them being forgive, people make mistkaes but a serial killer????everyone killed each other back then but even so unjust murder was still murder, and a psychopathic serial killer who dont need a reason to kill anyone was still a serial killer

soooo any idea?
