Madoobe got his new marching orders

Unless Kenya is willing to host the militas in mandera then nothing will happen. I believe it’s a bluff from Madobe to make it appear no election can happen in gedo and will try to use that bluff to ask PM Rooble to make changes to the election agreement in the prime minister’s upcoming visit to kismaayo

We shall see, maybe we get a new election meeting in a few months time :bantu2:

True but Madobe didn’t get a term extension from the latest election agreement. His stakeholder status will be disputed if another meeting happened after September I really don’t understand Madobe/Kenya game plan here

Kenya is about to lose its ports to China and they seceded the ICJ case to Somalia by not showing up. I'm not entirely worried about their joint planning but whoever is pulling the strings will soon discard both.

Kenya just bombed Jubaland and the government response is open your embassy back up and we will ours:bantu2:

The MOFA minister is a great minister he already responded to the attack by making a statement condemning the bombing, promised restitution for the victims, and wants to add bureaucratic red tape to KDF’s future air raids. He did everything within his disposal in regards to what happened in ceelcadde and is now trying to reach the end game of ending Kenyan interference (diplomatically)

It's almost as though the world is forcing the Turkish defense pact to become reality. After NATO left Afghanistan, Turkey is beginning to take over. Turkey also retook North Africa for itself as well as the levant. I predict they'll move into Iraq soon as well.

So far the FM's "diplomatic strategy" has been failures with the IGAD investigation, to AU heading up Elections mediation. Its nice to be idealistic but results matter

it’s hard to argue against wanting results since the current diplomatic rift is close to two years but considering the constraints placed on Somalia (Xalane controlled stability fund, Kenya being the strategic ally for America/UK, arms embargo) I still maintain the FM did the best he can do here. The icj decision needs to happen for Kenya to recalibrate

They'll take resources. How else do they prop up their economy? Remember, the US has to focus on China. If NA/Europe aren't willing to rebuild Africa, then China will. They can't let that happen. This means that all other warzones can be handled by Turkey.

Remember, the Turks want central Asia for themselves. They'll be the only real ally against the dragon. The Turks view their former caliphate lands as their backyard.

All I can say is that the FGS is wise to not sign the defense pact. That would literally turn the entire nation into a Turkish puppet state.

Somalia is already a puppet state to the West, they already denied us 1m1v and nearly dragged us into civil war, Turkey would balance things out and with good leadership Somalia would have been far better than what it is today

The US can't afford to lose Africa to china. Especially somalia. Also, if Russia warned Turkey of the coup d'etat then you don't think they help the FGS too?

It's obvious that farmaajo has survived multiple assassination attempts. So who helped him? Turkey is not known for its global intelligence.

ambassador Yamamoto meets with PM Roble, Qoorqoor, and Gudlaawe
Code for: please don't go to China. Look, the US has damaged its global soft power and this pandemic was an attempt to slow down China but the opposite happened. If Somalis want incredible growth with good governance then China is the way to go. Similar cultural values, our history can be found on their territory and they hold 85% of the world's rare earth resources. Also, most of our students go there as well as the large amount of trade we need. With the western world pulling out of China, it's ripe for good deals.

Didn't Yamamoto get replaced with another guy?

Of course Russia can help us too but we need to move away from West's sphere of influence. We have been under them ever since 1991 and they have been keeping us down and encourage iur neighbors to invade us whenever we seem to be stabilizing.

Turkey is a growing power and has only begun to increase its involvement in Africa and Asia, to compare their intelligence agencies with Russia's is unfair since Russia has been competing with a superpower like US and have the ability to spy on them so maybe that is how they knew of the coup beforehand

Yes he got replaced by the American ambassador to Djibouti but seems like he will leave after the elections @Imam Gurey

You’re right that geopolitically the western world wants to compete with China and in their latest g-7 meeting just recently publicized a counter proposal to the BBI for the developing world but in this case Yamamoto’s latest meeting was only election related
