Please let us congratulate and support Somali writer Siman Nuurali, a mother of five who lives in Minnesota, whom I had the pleasure of meeting at a conference in Boston this year. She just published a children’s book series about an 8 year old Somali American boy named Sadiq. This is a huge accomplishment!!!

I just ordered my set on Amazon.

*Update: Siman can be contacted on Twitter and Instagram @simannuurali.
Email: siman.nuurali@gmail.com

She would love to hear your feedback.

Salaam

Salaam my wonderful Brothers and Sisters! I've heard from Qaali about your amazing support and I am so touched by the shout-out and the congrats and all the lovely comments on the post. I'm sorry I'm not on Facebook but would love to connect with anyone who would like to do so. My handle for both Twitter and Instagram is @simannuurali and my email is siman.nuurali@gmail.com

I got this really lucky opportunity to write these books and I knew I had to do it for my kids and for all the beautiful Somali kids who might see themselves in Sadiq. I would really love more than anything else to hear about your kids and nieces and nephews and cousins for whom these books would make a difference. Drop me a line or a picture if you're willing and I hope everyone gets to enjoy them. Let me know what you think.

Sending you all my warmest regards and want to say Jazakallah. You're all truly a global family ❤️7658
