This is a bit of a continuation of Gacanka Cadmeed’s thread, and the reason why I’ve made this a separate thread is because what I’m saying is a bit different from what he is saying, but there are a lot of overlaps, also the thread went completely off south towards the end.

One thing I’d like to point out is that It’s funny when I see a lot of these so called Somali “nationalists” say “b-but what have these Arabs done for me and my tuulo, why should I support them” without understanding that this logic can be said from any group to any people including themselves and we’d be left with a world stripped from any naxariis, and the westerners that a lot like to worship could have said the same to us.

I should also note that they usually mean when you press them hard enough is that we should focus on Somali issues first and then care about other people’s problems, as if we are not cognitively capable of focusing on more than one issue simultaneously

A lot of the rhetoric is simply because they are Arabs, and they’ve been brainwashed into thinking every single Arab is an enemy of Somalis and have racist views towards us, talking points you’ve most likely heard from these people include “they see you as an ab**d, why should you care about them”, not only is it pathetic and insecure but is a blatant generalization based on nothing but either personal anecdotes or whatever bullshit they’ve seen on social media (as if all groups don’t have those types of people online or in real life, including Somalis)

The sad thing about this all this line of rationale would eventually lead towards a pipeline to gaalnimo if left unchecked, a lot of these people will then associate the religion of Islam with Arabs since the prophet (PBUH) was an Arab, despite the fact that Arabs contribute to a small minority of Muslims overall, and a a lot like to claim that they hold a monopoly on the religion yet a lot of these Arab countries have been destroyed save from a few wealthy ones

We can hate racists no matter what their color and creed may be, and we can condemn the actions of Arabs when they have done intolerable things, but the whole Arab hatred just like any other hatred of people for their color and creed is rooted in ignorance and misunderstandings
