1) No other way we must start being more community oriented

2) Setup different somali institutions:

not the hundreds and hundreds of dugsis but somali culture and language institutions that teach kids from a very young age grammar and basics of our language using interactive methods. Just like the greeks, turks, arabs etc.. do well some of them

3) Make these institutions like schools:

so that whenever a parent drops off their child the teachers and workers in these institutions only speak somali wear cultural attire as required (just like wearing khamis for dugsi) then we can teach these kids from a very young age what it means to be somali. Just like how your parents hopefully used to say "Facaa hakaharin Hooyo" whenevr u got karbashed by other kids.

Teach them not to glorify any western materials and pump them with as much somalinimo as possible from the time they are dropped off to the time they have to leave so that when they go home we encourage their parents to speak somali with them thereby drilling the language in their heads.

4) Make it exciting:

Here is where the Somali community will have to be present by that i mean, setup community fun activities. Not the usual events where some adults gather around for some music dhaanto etc and call it a day, but something big that only happens once a year maybe around eid free for all somalis and paid for by the "somali organisation of something" that will be based in the west and will be multinational

These are huge steps im proposing and may seem like what is the point of them but time is running out and think of all the somali households who just go about their days with no regard for what the little ones are thinking or watching.

We can atleast try saving one generations' connection to dhulka hooyo or well find somali john barre in the future .
