Badan means a lot, but not badhan.

Badhan/baran= split. Comes from the word badh/bar which means half.

A quick google search says Badhan is named after a well in the town with the name "Badha".

The well is the center/middle(badhtame) of many dagaans in Eastern Sanaag and connects them.
