Did the young Somali community become urbanized?

It appears some Somali youth, are interested in gang life, and culture. Hip hop, is influencing some Somalis negatively. I have seen Somalis speaking Ebonics, and dressing urban. Somali music is wonderful, and Somali people, are good role models. I feel less inclined on conversing with someone who is acting "hood" or "thuggish."

Somalis have a beautiful culture, language, and history. I have a fear that the Somali community is going to be broken, like the Black American community with this new identity. What do you guys think?
