I don't know if anyone else is noticing or experiencing this rise of hate against the Somalis in America, its mostly a few factors that are causing this most of which we are not responsible for, however things like the fraud somewhat is (not collectively, but a few that tarnish the reputation of the entire community).
I think the catalyst for this recent wave has to do with Donald Trumps recent posts, he just tweets whatever wlhi, I dont know where this recent fixation on Somalis are coming from if its from his emotional stylist or if its him genuinely doing research. But Ilhan Omar is definitely a factor, she has not done anything wrong really she is just very vocal.
Also I find it funny how he just began ranting about Somalis of all people Somalis who make up 0.06% the population of the USA during a conference regarding the Afghani dude who apparently did some attrocities out in Washington DC. Like why, what Somali bothered him so much. Does he not realize his words will be interpreted even more harshly by his fans?
Another thing, the Somalis being tied up in fruad. Although its a handful of people often in collaboration with cadaan higherups managing and approving such funds, these people have not only managed to defraud the government out of Millions but have singlehandedly ruined the reputation of Somalis in the United States.
Before these scumbags who have probably gained billions of sins and will be punished harshly came along, the main thing haters would use to ,,, hate is the usual Ilhan Omar, Muslim and Immigrant statuses and what not. The scope of hate was limited, this just expanded it probably 10 fold. These few people have allowed for crazy ass generalizations. Even some misleading titles like Somalis using taxpayer money to fund Al shabaab which is entirely Bullshit. If you want some more, I would suggest reading the comments on Stories revolving around the fraud.
Yeah and also Somalis being predominately Muslim is making us a further target for these misinformed haters, aswell as immigrant status. You know what I find funny is the amount of people who keep saying ICE as some sort of insult or something when 99% of Somali Americans aren't even affected by whatever those goons are doing.
Apologies for the poor grammar in my post, but the overall purpose of this posting is to spread awareness and have a genuine down to earth discussion with this forum...
This nigga trump also has access to the most classified briefing on Somalia and should know one of the main reasons Somalis even exist as an immigrant community in Minnesota is due to the choices in foreign policy by America.. Yeah, definitely not their fault entirely but they are a critical factor.
