Saw a disturbing and sad story that’s currently viral on TikTok. If as a father you don't cherish and always do right by your daughters, fatherhood is meaningless on you. Even more so for an ayeeyo qoris (raised by a grandmother). In Somali, when a person loses their mother, we call them rajo because without a mother, it's like a being without hope.

Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever has a daughter and he does not bury her alive, nor humiliate her, nor prefer his sons over her, he will enter Paradise due to her.

Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever cares for two girls until they reach maturity, then he and I will come together on the Day of Resurrection,” and the Prophet held up his two fingers together.

Uqbah bin Amir said, I heard the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) say:
"Whoever has three daughters and is patient towards them, and feeds them, gives them to drink, and clothes them from his wealth; they will be a shield for him from the Fire on the Day of Resurrection."
Grade: Sahih (Darussalam)Source: Sunan Ibn Majah 3669
